Ohjeita mukavaan, sujuvaan ja turvalliseen museojunamatkaanPorvoon Museorautatie ry on järjestänyt vuodesta 1991 lähtien Helsingin ja Porvoon välisiä museojunamatkoja. Niistä on ehtinyt nauttia kymmeniä tuhansia matkailijoita, jotka arvostavat miellyttävää vanhan ajan matkustamista enemmän kuin kiirettä. Kiskobussissa on tunnelmaa Lättähattu eli kiskobussi, kiskoauto, on dieselvetoinen paikallisliikenteen juna, jossa on kahdenlaisia vaunuja: moottorivaunuja ja liitevaunuja. Juna ajatetaan normaalisti neljällä vaunulla, joista yksi on matkatavaraosastolla varustettu liitevaunu. Istumapaikkoja yht. 226. Lähtölaiturit Junan lähtölaituri näkyy asemien infonäytöissä tunnuksella MUS 19xx. Helsingissä juna lähtee päärautatieasemalta. Helsingissä lähtölaiturina on yleensä raiteet 7 - 11. Pasilassa ei pysähdytä. Voit tarkastaa aikataulun ja lähtölaiturin myös Fintraffic Junalähdöt -palvelusta. Matkatavarat ja lemmikkieläimet Polkupyörät, potkulaudat, lastenvaunut ja vastaavat tavarat kuljetetaan junan liitevaunun matkatavaraosastossa (junan keskellä oleva vaunu, jossa on suuri sivuovi). Kuljetus on maksuton. Suurikokoiset tai raskaat kulkuvälineet eivät mahdu kyytiin (pl. pyörätuolit ja vastaavat apuvälineet). Matkatavaraosaston henkilökunta vastaanottaa ja luovuttaa tavarat. Rauhalliset, vaarattomat ja pienikokoiset lemmikit voivat matkustaa junassa omistajan valvonnassa. Huomioithan kuitenkin mahdollisesti allergiset kanssamatkustajat. Lemmikkieläimiä ei saa sijoittaa istuimille eikä niitä saa pitää irrallaan. Junan matkustamossa on matkatavarahyllyt ja penkkien väliin menee myös isommat tavarat. Rollaattorit kulkevat mukana matkustamossa tai matkatavaraosastolla. Matkaliput Liput myydään junassa matkan aikana, maksu maksukorteilla tai käteisellä. Lippuja ei voi ostaa etukäteen netistä. Paikanvaraus Junaan ei ole paikanvarausta. Tulethan hyvissä ajoin lähtöasemalle. Kun hätä yllättää... Joka vaunussa on perinteinen junan vessa. Käsien pesuun on vesisäiliössä vettä, jonka saa virtaamaan kääntämällä juoksuputki etuasentoon – hana sulkeutuu kääntämällä putki takaisin sivulle. Saako ohjaamossa oleskella matkan aikana? Kuljettaja työskentelee junan kulkusuunnassa ensimmäisessä moottorivaunussa. Vaikka kaikki vaunujen päätyosastot ovat myös matkustajien käytettävissä, ajon aikana muut kuin junan henkilökuntaan kuuluvat eivät saa oleskella ohjaamossa. Ainoastaan WC-käyntiä varten on kulku sallittu. Siirtyminen vaunusta toiseen junan liikkuessa ei ole turvallisuussyistä sallittua. Viheltimet säikäyttää Junan merkinantolaitteiden eli "viheltimien" ääni on tarkoitettu herättämään huomiota museoradan tasoristeyksissä. Siksi se kuuluu – myös matkustamoon. Kesällä junan kattoluukut ovat auki, joten junan ensimmäisessä moottorivaunussa äänimerkki kuuluu sen verran kovaa, että pikkulapset saattavat sitä säikähtää. Kannattaa siirtyä vaunun jälkimmäiseen osastoon tai taaempiin vaunuihin istumaan. Junan tekniikka on 50-luvulta, joten ääneneristystaso on myös sen aikakauden mukainen. Moottorivaunuissa moottoripääty on äänekkäämpi kuin toinen. Liitevaunussa ei ole moottoria, joten se on hiljaisempi. Helteellä Junassa ei ole ilmastointia. Tuuletus tapahtuu veivattavien sivuikkunoiden ja kattoluukkujen kautta. Nesteytyksestä kannattaa huolehtia. Raitis ja viihtyisä matka kaikille Olemme pyrkineet mahdollistamaan leppoisan ja viihtyisän matkan, jolta jäisi mukavat muistot kotiin vietäväksi. Siksi matkan aikana tupakointi (Tupakkalaki 74 §) ja alkoholijuomien käyttö ei ole junassa sallittua (Järjestyslaki 4 §). Junamatkan esteettömyys Juna ei ole aivan esteetön, sillä vaunun lattia on laitureita ylempänä ja askelmien nousukorkeus on normaalia suurempi. Matalissa laitureissa Keravan ja Porvoon välillä on kolme askelmaa laiturin pinnasta laskettuna. Lähiliikennelaitureilla Helsingin ja Keravan välillä, vaunun lattia on yhden askelman korkeudella laiturista. Sisäänkäynti- ja väliovet ovat kapeita: lastenvaunut kannattaa viedä suoraan junan matkatavaraosastolle. Vaunuissa ei ole varsinaisia pyörätuolipaikkoja. Moottorivaunun 4163 sisätilassa on tarjoilupöytä, jonka vierellä on vapaata tilaa (linkki). Liikkumis- ja toimintaesteisen matkustajan saattajalle matka on maksuton. Instructions for a comfortable, smooth and safe museum train journeyThe Porvoo Museum Railway Association has been organising museum train journeys between Helsinki and Porvoo since 1991. They have been enjoyed by tens of thousands of tourists who value pleasant old-fashioned travel more than rushing. To make the train journey a pleasant experience for everyone, we have put together a few practical instructions and tips here. There is atmosphere in the rail bus The Lättähattu, or rail bus, is a diesel-powered local train with two types of carriages: motor carriages and carriages without motor. The train is normally operated with four carriages, one of which is an unmotorized carriage with a luggage compartment. There are 226 seats in total. Departure platforms The train's departure platform is shown on the station information displays with the code MUS 19xx. In Helsinki, the train departs from the main railway station. The departure platform in Helsinki is usually on track 7 to 11. There is no stop in Pasila. You can also check the schedule and departure platform from the Fintraffic Junalähdöt websites. Luggage and pets Bicycles, scooters, strollers and similar items are transported in the baggage compartment of the train's side car (the car in the middle of the train with a large side door). Transportation is free of charge. Large or heavy vehicles cannot be carried on board (except wheelchairs and similar aids). Luggage department staff will receive and hand over the items. Calm, harmless and small pets can travel on the train under the supervision of the owner. However, please be aware of fellow passengers who may be allergic. Pets may not be placed on seats or kept loose. Please make sure that your dog has had all vaccinations and is house-trained. There are luggage racks in the train cabin and larger items can also be placed between the benches. Rollators can be carried in the cabin or in the baggage compartment. Tickets Tickets are sold on the train during the journey by the conductor, payment by credit card or cash. Tickets cannot be purchased in advance online. Seat reservation There are no seat reservations on the train. Please arrive at the departure station well in advance. When nature calls... Each carriage has a traditional train toilet. Hand washing is possible. The water in the water tank can be made to flow by turning the spout to the front position - the tap is closed by turning the pipe back to the side. Is it allowed to stay in the cab during the journey? The driver works in the first motor carriage in the direction of travel of the train. Although all end compartments of the carriages are also available to passengers, during the journey, people other than train staff are not allowed to stay in the cab. Access is only permitted to use the toilet. For safety reasons, it is not permitted to move from one carriage to another while the train is moving. Whistles are frightening The sound of the train's signaling devices, or "whistles", is intended to attract attention at level crossings on the museum railway. That is why it can be heard - also in the passenger compartment. In the summer, the train's roof hatches are open, so the sound signal in the first motor carriage of the train is so loud that it may scare small children. It is worth moving to the second compartment of the carriage or to the rear carriages. The train's technology is from the 1950s, so the level of soundproofing is also in line with that era. In motor carriages, the engine end is louder than the other. The carriage without engine is quieter. In the heat The train has no air conditioning. Ventilation is via the cranked side windows and roof hatches. It is worth taking care of hydration. A sober and pleasant journey for everyone We have strived to enable a relaxed and pleasant journey, from which you will leave pleasant memories to take home. Therefore, smoking (Section 74 of the Tobacco Act) and the consumption of alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the train during the journey (Section 4 of the Public Order Act). Accessibility of the train journey The train is not completely barrier-free, as the floor of the carriage is higher than the platforms and the height of the steps is higher than normal. On the low platforms between Kerava and Porvoo, there are three steps from the platform surface. On the commuter platforms between Helsinki and Kerava, the floor of the carriage is at the height of one step from the platform. The entrance and connecting doors are narrow: it is advisable to take baby strollers directly to the train's baggage compartment. There are no actual wheelchair spaces in the carriages. There is a serving table inside the motor carriage 4163, with free space next to it. The journey is free of charge for those accompanying a passenger with mobility and functional impairments. Guide dogs, assistance and hearing dogs may travel in train for free.
